Full Service Home Organization
A Good Home organizes every space in the home, from kitchens and closets, to attics and basements. Every project receives meticulous attention to detail, carefully considered systems, and a signature styled aesthetic.
At A Good Home, we have established ourselves as one of the first and leading home organization companies on the Connecticut Shoreline. We’re known for our signature bright, clean, and collected aesthetic. We mix our favorite materials, styles, and eras for a decidedly approachable and sophisticated result. A blend of our signature style with a strong understanding of our clients’ personality, home’s aesthetic and favorite materials is reflected in each space we organize.

Consultation
Our comprehensive full-service organizing process begins with an in-home consultation. During the consultation, we take an in-depth look at your space, taking measurements and detailed inventory, paying close attention to challenging nooks and crannies. We ask lots of questions to determine what’s working, what’s not, and set specific goals for the project. The consultation typically takes 1.5- 2 Hrs.

Design
Post-consultation, we get to work designing a plan that is specific to your space. We devise an estimate based on our hourly project rate, shopping fee, and any necessary organizing products/materials. The selected materials are specific to your home’s style, measurements, and the items being organized. All product purchased is subject to client approval, and will be billed for reimbursement accordingly.
PROJECT RATE: $130/Hr
SHOPPING FEE: $399 Flat Rate

Procurement & Project Management
Two weeks after your consultation, you are provided with a project overview, inclusive of the design and estimate. Once the project is approved, a 50% deposit is required to book your project. We’ll then schedule your project days and get to work on prepping for your install. We’ll handle the shopping for you, purchasing all necessary project materials, making any requisite store runs, and facilitating any returns post-project.
From managing your order to warehousing all the items, as well as directing handymen and movers (if necessary), our seamless process makes our services turn-key for our clients.

Installation
If it’s determined that a decluttering session is necessary (or desired) for your project, this session will occur first. During the decluttering, we evaluate all belongings in your space, helping you purge (and donate, etc.) what you don’t need.
Then on install day, we pull it all together to create a functional + stylized organization system for you. As we organize items in your space, we take extra time to color-code and label everything for a finishing touch. We make sure all the pieces of your project are pulled together, allowing you to walk into your freshly organized space and feel instant joy.
Additional Services
Refresh Services
For repeat clients who require an occasional touch-up, we offer a refresh of your space. Systems will be restored, styled and re-labeled as needed. Refresh projects are billed at our standard hourly rate.
Travel Services
We’ve traveled for out-of-state services to New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Florida and Colorado. Each trip is quoted specifically based on estimated project hours and location, including any travel time, incurred travel costs, and our standard daily travel rate.
Moving Services
For established clients, we provide streamlined moving services, including pack-up, coordination and logistics, as well as unpacking and organization into your new space. Moving projects are custom quoted to each project.

In-Home Consultations for an organizing project are $699 per project, and Consultations for styling + design projects are $1,399 per project. Projects are defined as a single space or room. Kitchens and pantries are considered separate spaces/projects.

Your consultation includes a 1.5-2 Hr in-person meeting at the project location. During your consult, we take an in-depth look at your space and take lots of time to ask questions about the project, discuss your goals, preferences, style and more. We also take pictures, measurements and any necessary inventory. We then use all of that information to devise a project design and provide you with a Project Overview + Estimate that is completely custom to your space, and is inclusive of a layout, moodboard, and all materials selections.

Please make payment prior to or at the end of your scheduled in-home consultation. Project designs and estimates are not started until your consultation payment has been received.

We accept check (preferred), cash and Venmo. If paying via Venmo, there is 2% service fee applied per transaction.

The consultation fee accounts for the time spent in your home during the consultation, as well as design and planning time in the studio for your project. We take a great deal of time and effort in doing this, and therefore our consultation fee is non-refundable. No exceptions are made to this policy.

We would love the opportunity to work on multiple projects with you! With our unique approach, projects are preferred to be done one-space/room-at-a-time, as it allows us the chance to dedicate the necessary and proper time, energy, and resources to produce the best possible outcome for each project. Our project fees, including a flat rate consultation and shopping services, are applied to each project.

That's our favorite combo! Many projects naturally fall within this realm. We'll determine if the project falls into one category versus the other, and we'll come to that conclusion during your consult. For true combination/larger-scope projects, a combined consultation fee will be applied.

For renovation/build-out projects, we provide an estimate in your Project Overview based on our hourly rate and an estimation of the hours we believe it will take from start to finish (including any dedicated selections, additional meetings, management, the final installation, etc).

We charge our standard hourly rate for drive times that are in excess of thirty minutes (each way) to the designated location from/to our studio.

All communication with clients is done through email or by pre-scheduled phone calls and/or meetings. However, on scheduled meeting days or project/install days, we often communicate with our clients via text as needed.

Our full-service home organizing and interior styling services are high-end and high-touch. We consider it to be a worthwhile investment. Every project is approached individually and every estimate is 100% custom to the space, so we cannot provide an estimate until we send your Project Overview + Estimate.

Not always! This is typically determined or recommended during your consultation once we're able to evaluate the space and gather information from you.

Please don't take any additional effort to tidy, clean or organize your home! We want to see how you are currently functioning in your space, and to be able to accurately determine what's working and what's not.

This range can vary greatly, and depends on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) the scope of the project, shipping times, handymen availability, and our coordinating schedules. Typical, straight-forward organizing projects usually have a 4-6 week lead time from the in-home consultation to project implementation/install. Design and styling projects naturally have longer lead times.

As a full-service home organization and styling company, we manage the project from start to finish, and that includes the ordering of all materials, furnishings, housewares, etc. For a multitude of reasons, we do not permit clients to make the purchases.

No, we do not offer DIY Services, neither for organizing nor interior design. As a full-service studio, we facilitate projects from conception (initial consultation) through completion (installation) and manage every step of the process.
